Yeah. Lately I haven't been drawing much I'm afraid, but just today I guess some desire to came back to me. I was doodling on sheets of receipt paper all through work today. So when I got home I had nothing to do. I tried playing ff8 and got tired and restless rather quickly. All I did was fight monsters, and once I got to the part where I could actually move on with the plot, I stopped. *blink* Then I had no idea what to do next. Sat on the couch hugging a pillow and staring into space. So then I remembered that I'd decided earlier that Eidos needed a computer colored portrait, so I sat down and started scribbling in Gimp. Considering that the entire purpose of this picture was to make me feel better, I'm surprised that it turned out not-half-bad.

There's something strangely soothing about going over the colors again and again, darkening, lightening, smudging, erasing, smoothing, sharpening... staring and letting yourself fall into the motions until your eyes start tearing up from looking at the moniter too long. Sometimes if I keep it up long enough I'll actually start crying while coloring o.0 XP .... yeah okay you can stop looking at me like that. I'm not crazy. .. really.

What is it with me and cats in the rain lately...?

So this is Eidos, my small winged lion, my courage, given to me (what greater gift can a friend give?) by not long after we first began our friendship. I'm afraid I haven't been taking very good care of him lately... *guilt* but he still hangs around. *hugs him*

Perhaps he and polo can become friends. *hugs little black and white stuffed dog her mom just unearthed, who has been lost for a while* ....

I have my rights to childish pleasures, so there. Yes I still have stuffed animals. They rock. You know they do.

Yeah so... I started this around 9 or like half hour before 9 maybe.. and it's 11:01 now so about two hours. ... cuz I cheated on the background. I didn't cheat on anything else though I swear!
